Black diamond Le Massif, QC
L'Anguille drops 1,163 vertical feet over 4,174 feet of skiing, with a steepest pitch of 28° about 2,150 feet below the top. That's steeper than 40% of the 4,740 black diamond runs we've measured in North America, and the 17th steepest of 67 named runs at Le Massif. It faces east.
Facing east at an average 16°, L'Anguille gets about 107% of the winter sun that flat ground at Le Massif does, December through March. That's sunnier than 77% of the runs we've measured, and the 18th sunniest named run at Le Massif. Its top sits at 1,300 feet.
Angled toward the low winter sun, it bakes: powder turns heavy soon after a storm, and in spring it softens early in the day and refreezes hard overnight. Shading from ridges and trees isn't counted yet.
